This course looks at identifying sources of radiation, the differences between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, maximum permissible exposure, and ways to minimize RF exposure.

  • Spectrum 
  • Ionizing and non-ionizing radiation 
  • Thermal and non-thermal effects of RF radiation 
  • Six-minute rule and Maximum Permissible Exposure 
  • Signage and PPE

EVALUATION:

There will be knowledge check quizzes throughout the course, and a final open book test that requires a 70% to obtain the certificate.
