Fiber-to-the-home, HFC and RFoG

This course will explore how GPON and HFC systems are implemented. Passive optical networks are used to build out fiber-to-the-home, and rf over glass networks.

  • Link budgets, splitters, splice closures 

 

Day 2:   

  • FTTH topology and technology 
  • RFoG topology and technology 
  • DOCSIS topology and technology

EVALUATION:

There will be knowledge check quizzes throughout the course, and a final open book test that requires a 70% to obtain the certificate.
