Copper Cabling and Ethernet Testing

This  1-day course will look at Category twisted pair cables to support high dates applications. This course will look at unshielded and shielded cables and the process of connecting cables with different types of RJ45 connectors. The cables and links will be tested using different levels of ethernet testing, including verifying, qualifying, and certifying tests.

Day 1:  

-Cat5 to Cat8 cables 
 
-Unshielded and shielded twisted pairs of cables 
 
-Indoor and Outdoor Cables 
 
-Wiremaps 
 
-Installing connectors 
 
-Power Over Ethernet 
 
-Testing cables and connectors 
 
-Verification Testing: Wiremaps, DTF, PoE Class,  
 
-Qualification testing: Cable and Network Bandwidth Testing, VLAN id, PoE Load testing  
 
-Certification Testing: Near-End, Far-End, and Alien -Crosstalk, delay skew, return loss, attenuation
